Age Groups
We offer six classrooms, which are divided by age group.
Pre-K & Kindergarten
The Turtle House offers a combination of childcare and pre-kindergarten/kindergarten services for children ages 4 to 6. It is always our goal to provide excellent, quality care and education that allow children to grow, learn, and express themselves freely. Attuned to the needs of every child, we are dedicated to maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment.
Enrollment
Our CFLC staff is happy to assist all families with the enrollment process. All necessary information and forms are available in the office. CFLC has an open door policy, which means that no appointment is necessary for a tour.
Center tours are given Monday through Friday 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Tours are not given between 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM, because children are eating lunch and napping throughout the building.
Please call 219-663-3678 to inquire about the price of each program.
Services & Amenities
Meals
At Children First Learning Center Foundation, we strive to provide nutritious meals that the children love, with two meals and two snacks every day. Food service starts at 7:00 AM with a morning snack, and then we move on to breakfast, followed by lunch, and finally concluding with an afternoon snack.
Meals and snacks are prepared in our full-service commercial kitchen. We have a full-time cook that prepares all of our meals and snacks, and our food menu has been approved by the state of Indiana in accordance with our license.
Playground
We offer a wonderful outside space for children to enjoy while at school. We have three large play areas, adding up to more than 20,000 square feet of outside fun. We have a large grass area to conduct organized games such as parachute, kick ball, and obstacle course.
On what the kids at CFLC call the “big side,” we have playground equipment with slides, a sandbox, and a hill with a great tunnel passing through. There’s also a large bike area for children to ride trikes, scooters, and other ride-on toys that are available at the center.
On our toddler side, we have a great shade system to keep our little ones cool so they too can enjoy outside time. CFLC’s playground is a great extension of our classrooms, a wonderful place for children to explore, play with friends, and get exercise.
